Who is responsible for your data
GrantRound is a sole proprietorship based in Virginia, USA. Privacy contact: [email protected].
What we collect
Your name and email address (for your account, alerts, and the Round-Up newsletter) and the account details you provide — title, phone number, and postal address — which your organization's team can see on the Org Profile's Users page; your organization profile (organization name, type, state, mission description, focus areas — used to match grants); the working data you create in the product (saved opportunities, qualification decisions, workflow steps, documents you register (web links you provide), notes, and the activity log); and billing details handled directly by Stripe. GrantRound never sees or stores your full card number. Results from the anonymous free checker stay in your own browser unless you create an account and save them.
What we never do
We never sell your personal data, never share it with grant agencies, and never use your mission text or documents to train AI models.
Who processes data for us
We use a small set of processors, each only for the job named: Cloudflare (website hosting and database), Stripe (payments and the billing portal), Resend (transactional email such as alerts and receipts), and MailerLite (the Round-Up newsletter). Data is stored in the United States.
Alert and Round-Up emails include a one-click unsubscribe. Transactional emails (receipts, deadline and workflow alerts you asked for) continue while your account is active.
Data sources
Grant listings are public U.S. government data from Grants.gov. We store listing metadata (title, agency, dates, opportunity number) to power search and alerts.
How long we keep data
While your account is open, we keep its data so the product works. If the account is closed, the organization's grant records are retained for 3 years to support your own record-retention duties (see the Terms of Service), then deleted — except billing records we must keep for tax law. You can request deletion sooner at any time; deletion removes your profile and email from active systems within 30 days, except the records the law requires us to keep.
Your rights
Email [email protected] any time to export or delete your account data, or to ask what we hold about you. A printable export of any single grant's record is also available directly from its record page while your account is open.
