Who operates GrantRound
GrantRound is a sole proprietorship based in Virginia, USA ("GrantRound", "we"). Questions about these terms: [email protected].
What GrantRound is
GrantRound is an independent search and alert tool for publicly listed U.S. federal grant opportunities. GrantRound is not affiliated with Grants.gov, the U.S. government, or any grant-making agency. GrantRound does not award grants, submit applications, or guarantee that any user will receive funding. Applying for a grant on Grants.gov is always free.
Accuracy
Grant data comes from the Grants.gov public feed and is refreshed daily, but deadlines, amounts and eligibility can change at the source. The official Grants.gov listing controls in every case. Verify all details there before applying, and do not rely solely on GrantRound alerts for any deadline. If you spot an error in a listing we show, email [email protected] and we will correct it.
Subscriptions and refunds
Paid plans renew automatically — monthly or annually, following the billing period you chose — until cancelled. Your first subscription charge is refunded in full if you cancel through Self Service within 7 days of that subscription starting (see the 7-day window below). Refunds for later charges are available on request — email [email protected] — and are granted at our discretion. Prices may change with at least 30 days' email notice; changes never apply retroactively to a period already paid.
Cancellation — two ways, two different effects
Through the billing portal: you can cancel your subscription in the Stripe billing portal (Account & Billing). The subscription ends at the close of the paid period. Afterwards the account has no active plan — saving and alerts pause — and a new plan can be started any time from Account & Billing.
Through "Cancel Subscription & Close Account" in Self Service (primary users only): this schedules the account to close at the end of the paid period. The subscription is set with Stripe to end when the current period closes — no further charges — and you and your team keep full access until that date. On that date the account closes: access ends for every user on the account and signing in is blocked. The cancellation can be undone from Self Service at any time before the closure date. On an account with no live subscription, closure is immediate. Use this when the account itself should be shut, not just the billing.
The 7-day window: if a primary user cancels through Self Service within 7 days of the account's first subscription, the window rules replace the schedule above — the subscription is cancelled at once, the account closes immediately, and the payment is refunded in full.
Your records after closure
Closing an account does not delete its records right away. We retain the organization's grant records — saved opportunities, qualification decisions, workflow history, and the activity log — for 3 years after closure, so your organization can meet its own record-retention duties. While an account is open, any primary user can export the organization's complete data in one click from Self Service (a single JSON file covering the profile, the pipeline, and every per-grant record), and a printable packet for any single grant can be exported directly from its record page. During the 3 years after closure you can request a full export of your organization's data at any time by emailing [email protected], and we will provide it in standard formats (HTML/CSV/JSON). After the retention period, records are deleted except billing records we must keep for tax law.
Transfer of ownership
The account owner may transfer ownership of the organization to another primary user of the same organization. All of the organization's data — the pipeline, records, and history — moves with the transfer, and the former owner stays on as a primary user. Billing does not move: the subscription stays with the original Stripe customer until the new owner updates it. The transfer is recorded in the organization's activity history, and the former owner, the new owner, and the organization's other primary users are notified by email.
If GrantRound ever shuts down
If we discontinue the service, we will give at least 90 days' email notice and keep data export available for the whole notice period. Any amount you prepaid for time after the shutdown date is refunded pro-rata.
Acceptable use
One account per organization unless you hold a Pro or Premium plan. No scraping GrantRound itself, no resale of matched data as a competing database, no use that violates the terms of Grants.gov.
Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, GrantRound's liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim arose. GrantRound is a discovery and tracking tool; decisions to apply, and application outcomes, are yours.
